Psychic Attack?

Are we under some kind of psychic attack? Are we experiencing the End Times prophesied by the Bible? Are we being controlled through a matrix-type system that could be extraterrestrial in nature?

There are plenty of theories out there. But after ANOTHER school shooting today, I'm convinced evil is having its way with us. SOMETHING is very organized and extremely powerful. There has just been too many stories of family and friends being totally shocked that the person they knew could become a shooter in a mall in Portland, a face-eating monster in Miami, a mass-murdering student in Colorado, an unhinged nanny in New York, etc. They apparently showed no outward signs of this kind of evil. What happened to these people?

I'm convinced that something otherworldly is going on here.

Be very aware of your thoughts, actions, reactions and "mind loops." It is very easy to go into fear, hate, and anger with all that is happening in the world. But what if that is exactly what is hoped for?

Every great spiritual leader preaches love, kindness, empathy. From Mohammad to Buddha to Jesus, love is the answer. Maybe loving thoughts, kind deeds, gratitude, respecting Mother Earth, is the way we combat this terrible energy. We're in a war of good and evil - it's time to pick a side and get to work.

I think I'll work on envisioning a future full of love, respect, compassion, and caring. I'll write down the things I want to see cemented in the world, I'll go to sleep envisioning people sharing resources, helping each other in all the ways we need help. I'll be precise in my imaging. Keeping my mind occupied with  positive thinking is my armament. My way of starving the negative energy. My way of feeding the vortex love and light.

What are you thinking?

Paying Attention to Energy Flow

I have had the oddest experience over the last couple of weeks. It has brought home the notion that when we pay attention to the energy of an experience, we actually attune ourselves to the flow of life. It's probably the same thing as synchronicity. Meaningful coincidences, and all of that.

I have wanted nothing more than to move back to Portland, Oregon, to live near my family - especially my grandson. We are having a mutual love affair at the moment, and since I know these things never last, once he gets even slightly older, I haven't wanted to miss a moment. But the energy is simply not flowing.

The first realtor I called took all of my information and then never called me back! We had an extended conversation on what I was looking for, granted it changes with the wind, but that is normal for house hunting. Most Realtors are patient and helpful, guiding you to the homes that might meet your needs. Not this one - she just never called back.

So, in the meantime, I have been working on ideas for a shared-living-resources plan that would include my family. (You have to start somewhere.) Since we actually live in Nevada, we would only be there part of the time, allowing for my family to live in the house until we retire in a few years. Well, it seems that doesn't work because we have very different ideas on the part of town we want to live in. My children only want to live in the urban, bicycle riding, walk to pubs and restaurants part of town, and we crave a more serene and nature-filled part of town. Very different lifestyles.

Okay, fine. Next, we decided to just look for a home for my husband and myself, and if the children want to live in it, then fine - but if not, no problem, we'll just use the home while we are in Portland during our many visits, moving into it permanently when we retire. So I talk with our new realtor about the change in plans, my daughter talks with the realtor about the change in plans, I send him some new listings I would like him to check out for me and....he just never answers my email about the new listings! Just a short note to say we need to find a duplex that would work for an extended family, and then nothing! Just a great big VOID. I think he has bonded with my daughter and son-in-law, and if we are not buying something with them in mind - he's not interested. (Realtors must be doing much better in Portland than here in Reno/Tahoe...)

Bottom line? There is simply no energy in this endeavor at this time. For some reason, now is not the time to find a home in Portland. I've decided to listen, and have procured a very large storage unit for our upcoming move from the home we are in, and will wait for what's in store for us. I may feel disappointed, but I'm also sure there is some reason this wasn't going the way I thought it should go.

I'm kind of excited. Something else may be just around the corner.

Have you ever experienced a lack of energy flow? Did you listen, or did you fight it? What was the outcome?

THRIVE

Over the last couple of years this site has discussed many issues. We've looked at how our police are becoming very militaristic, how evil corporations are using our food to genetically engineer seed that cannot reproduce, how a very small percentage of the population owns more than the vast majority, how the pharmaceutical companies are drugging our babies. But it hasn't been until now that I've watched something that put it all together and into perspective.

Most of us do not want to believe in conspiracy theories. We've been taught to laugh at them, to be very suspect of anything that requires secrecy as we've come to believe that it is impossible to keep everyone quiet. But when a few hold all of the cards that the rest of us use to get our information - it can be done.

While we were in Hawaii we visited an art gallery and proceeded to get into a deep discussion with its owner. He asked us if we had seen the movie Thrive, which we had not. He proceeded to tell us that we must watch it - that it was a movement and that most of his friends had not only watched the movie, but were actively using the website.

Well, I finally watched it today and I can honestly say it is very well done. I can see why most of the reviewers on Amazon gave it 5 stars. Not only does it link all the dots about how we've come to find our world in the place it is in, but gives solutions about how to get out of the seemingly impossible quicksand that we've found ourselves.

Our future depends on us waking up and seeing the world for what it is, but more importantly for what it could be. As Einstein reminds us - "we can't solve problems using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."

This movie at least starts the conversation. You can rent it for $5 for 48 hours directly to your computer, or order the DVD from the Thrive site or Amazon.com. It comes in many languages - this is a world-wide phenomenon.

Letting Go

July is the month for letting go, according to channeler and energy worker, Lee Harris. You can read his energy forecast for July here.  He says we may need to surround ourselves with different people. Some of our old relationships may not fit this new energy. He also refers to the nervousness and lack of settling in many people, and that we cannot fail to be affected by these energies.

Yet he reminds us -  all is well - no matter how it looks.

I have found this to be true in my own life. Some people are not, shall we say, relaxed? We need to let their stuff move on through. Most of us have enough of our own stuff without taking on their stuff, right? Letting go of the old, especially old wounds and activities that no longer serve, has been part of my personal paradigm for a while now.

Coincidentally, my husband and I have also experienced a renewal of old friendships that have been on the back burner for many years. Friendships that were almost forgotten. In one day we had three sets of old friends call and want to get together.

So what do you think that is about?

Do our friendships serve certain functions at different times in our lives? Maybe circling back around as we enter into new life stages? Could we be looking back to old friendships that may share our value systems, because many that we are around now do not? Or maybe we just want to see if the spark is still there...

You can watch Lee's forecast for 2011 here.

This is just a little reminder that it's okay to let go sometimes.

Weird, I know! But I'm back.

Okay, so you were probably wondering where I have been. I've been trying to avoid a person that was hacking his way into a friend's blog, and I felt the need to move along. I started a new blog that I will continue, and I'll delete many of these posts that are of a personal nature. In the meantime, I'm working on writing an e-book based on this blog. So hang with me folks. There is energy flowing!

A Grateful Year

As some of you may have known, my husband went two years without working. Like so many of you, we were not sure he would work again in this economy. Lucky for us a job came around. But during that time we learned a few things:
  1. Take nothing in this world for granted, especially not jobs or income.
  2. It is the little things in life that make it worthwhile.
  3. People are what is important.
  4. You don't need much money to be happy. Having enough is just fine.
  5. Never owe anyone anything - ever again.
  6. Less is best.
  7. When you've got it - share it.
This is not to say you shouldn't save for a rainy day. We should all try to be in a place where we can survive in a downturn, or be secure in retirement. But with that being said, one of the best lessons to come out of those two years was the recognition that money in the bank doesn't work for anyone. Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and all of the other gazillionaires that are giving away their money realize that simple fact. Putting money out into the world changes things.

This year we are not exchanging gifts in my family, we are fortunate enough to be able to share an experience instead. We are very grateful to have our children and grandchild with us to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and the beautiful whales of Hawaii.

So with that thought in mind, I thought I would share a few of my favorite opportunities to share this season:

Library in Nepal - Fellow blogger, goddessoftheconfluence, has a business that often takes her to Nepal. She has done wonderful things for the residents on more than one occasion, using her own money. She is now spearheading a library high in the mountains for the people of a small village. She has a wish list, breaking down all the components of the building and books. Volunteers from the community will build the building. It is a fascinating and worthwhile project.

Oceana - Oceana is on the beaches cleaning the turtles and other poor sea creatures created by the BP debacle in the Gulf. It is an ongoing project. Their organization is focused solely on ocean conservation. This year they are giving you the pleasure of actually adopting a whale, dolphin, penguin, polar bear and more.

Animal Ark - This is a local program. I have been on more than one school field trip to visit the wild animals that have been rescued from some really sad places and situations. They have bears, eagles, coyotes, all manner of animals lucky enough to be cared for at Animal Ark.

Elephant Nature Park - My daughter had the good fortune to be able to visit this elephant rescue park while in Thailand this year. I posted about it here. For a nominal fee you can adopt a specific elephant at the park. It is really amazing how little it costs to help one of these magnificent creatures.

My husband likes to give at the grocery store, and always buys extra bags of groceries they have made up for the food shelter. But it doesn't matter where you give, or even how much you give, it is the energy and intention that goes with it that changes the world.

So do you have a favorite this year?

A Mighty Force

I have believed for some time that there is an energy at work in our world. Whether or not you believe in the End of Days or 2012, or just that the world is going to hell in a hand basket, there is no doubt there is something going on.

For instance, never before have we had such immediate access to everything that is happening. The Internet, television, 24-news, magazines, etc., all provide instantaneous information. Not all meaningful, and not all of value, true. But we can have instant access to almost anything.

Which brings me to the Mighty Force.

I think there is an energy that is going against all of those that have practiced to deceive. From Wall Street to Main Street, from corporations to politicians, the world is changing for those that have hidden behind a mask of decency and legitimacy only to have their real intentions revealed before the entire world.

Will anyone ever feel the same about Tiger Woods? How about Goldman Sachs and the henchmen of Wall Street? As for politicians, Nevada has it's very own hypocrite in John Ensign. Running on a holier than thou platform of Christian ideals he has been revealed to have been having an affair with his best friend's wife the entire time. Now he's being investigated for trying to pay off the husband with a job that promised his senatorial influence. The latest mask to be ripped was Senator Joe Barton of Texas. His bias for the oil companies came through loud and clear when at the hearings last week he pontificated about how the White House did a "shake down" on BP for requiring a 20 billion dollar account for clean up of the Gulf. Even his own party wants him off the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee. And then there is BP. Avarice was the name of that company's game.

These are just a few examples of what makes up our news these days. I think if your intention is to put on a mask that is meant to hide your true intentions, and those intentions are self motivated in a bad way - you better be careful. There is a Mighty Force that is seeking you out.

Finding a Hero

The world is in desperate need of a hero. Someone for us to look up to and feel awed by their strength of character and decent intentions. While we wait, my daughter found one in Thailand.

Lek (Sangduen Chailert) came from an impoverished family in the remote mountains of Northern Thailand. The granddaughter of a tribal Shaman, she managed to obtain a university degree, something  uncommon for someone from her part of the world. In the 1990's she obtained her greatest wish - to have an elephant reserve for those that had outlived their usefulness in logging or trekking. Many of the elephants were badly treated and living out their lives in her reserve gives them the first kindness they have every known. One elephant had been blinded by her mahout for nothing more than grieving after her baby had rolled off a cliff and could not be saved. When she entered the reserve, no one knew what to expect. Elephants are socially complex. But as soon as she entered, another elephant came running toward her and immediately welcomed her into the herd. They are inseparable to this day.

Elephant Nature Park in Chaing Mai, Thailand has had many awards and accolades from National Geographic, Smithsonian, Humane Society, Time Magazine, and many more. But what is so amazing about the woman is her relationship with the animals. Lek treks many miles over very difficult terrain to treat sick elephants, often entering into complex and expensive negotiations to buy the animals for her reserve, which now totals 30. She uses money from the family business, and her educational program, which includes hands-on care, to fund the reserve and tree planting. Her desire is to maintain the forests and often uses sacred saffron cloths to tie around the trees in order to save them.

My daughter says she sings the baby elephants to sleep at night. They literally lay down and go to sleep! The adult elephants, when they see her, come running and wrap her in their trunks. My daughter said she didn't even feel she could talk to her, she was in such awe of the woman. She said she could feel her incredible energy. Of course Lek is humble and kind, probably totally unconscious of her affect on a young woman from an entirely different place in the world.

The world is full of these heroes. We forget how many are really out there, working to make things better for all sentient beings.

So, for today, I sing the praises of a woman a world away. Bless you, Lek. May all of our blessings and well-wishes come rushing your way, aiding you in your endeavors. They do not go unnoticed.

What about you - do you have a favorite unsung hero?

Bloginar

I have found a new website (through one of you, but I can't remember who exactly), that is having a "bloginar" on energy and healing. Over the years I have read many things on energy and the mind/body connection and this series synthesises complex information very well. Some of this information is now being taught in mainstream courses. Many general practicioner offices now have Naturopathic doctors on staff, utilzing them for preventive health and alternative medicines.

Humans have an innate ability to heal themselves, and moving away from the pharma-based system we now depend on may be where healthcare needs to go in order to be sustainable. Utilizing alternatives, or working in conjunction with mainstream medicinal practices, makes sense for the future.

If you are interested, go to Healing Mudras and start here. It has several parts over the month of December.

Let me know what you think.

Difficult Childhoods

Lately I have been reading some blog posts that made me think about psychic energy and difficult childhoods. These particular bloggers, while humans searching for what matters along with the rest of us, also seem to be "tuned in" for a lack of a better phrase. Very sensitive to consciousness, energy, spirituality. Linda Pendelton did a post about psychic spies and remote viewing the other day. And one of the original participants in the CIA program, Joseph McMoneagle, commented that many of the psychic viewers were children of child abuse. Which of course makes sense. Children in dangerous situations need to use their instincts in order to survive, be it physically and/or mentally. These individuals, now grown, could be psychically "charged" in a way that makes them highly sensitive.

This sensitivity is good and bad for these individuals. The good is that they tune in first to all the changes going on in our world and often understand esoteric trains of thought very easily. The bad is that they are very sensitive to everything going on. They have fewer "filters." With the problems in the world, stresses at home and work, the tendency for depression and other anxiety disorders are more common.

Nde's, or near-death-experiences, often have participants returning to their bodies after resuscitation with stories of being told they have a mission to accomplish. That it wasn't their time, and no matter how hard their lives seem to be, they have not finished what they set out to do. Many return to lives spent passionately pursuing different lifestyles. Often seeing things very differently, than before the NDE.

Over the last several months I have watched some blogs go from the depths of despair, to people who seem to be much happier, and very connected to their lives in a fresh way. Much like the NDE experience, they are starting to lead very different lives. Their blogs are artistic, their voices sure and strong. They are talking about what excites them - and we are listening and following and learning in a synergistic manner.

So where am I going with this?

Well, I'm not sure. But I'm studying it. It may be what Trish MacGregor said in my comments section yesterday - we are a group of people who are meant to meet. The blogosphere is creating the venue. We are drawn to each other through intention. Whether to help each other through dark times, or to learn, or to be the first to celebrate good things that happen. To support each other. Maybe we are here to help each other "awaken" to a new way of seeing the world and all the characters in it. An NDE minus the dying part. Without all the pretense, without all the trappings of modern society, just us and the people we connect with.

What do you think?

Mission Statement

Many years ago, when I began my "spiritual search" for meaning, I wrote a little personal mission statement. It has come and gone in my consciousness over the years. But for anyone who has begun a "spiritual search", you know that you are not always on the path. You fall off and go in different directions, only to find the need to get back on the path because you don't feel so well. It usually happens when everything we work for, or believe in, becomes an illusion, or doesn't feed that part of us that needs feeding. I think that is happening on a world-wide scale. Our old ways of doing things are no longer applicable. We are destroying our earth home, consuming to feed that part of us that actually needs food of a different sort. Your path is different from mine, but one thing we have in common is our desire for a society, no matter where you live in this world, that listens, and provides, what we want and need.

So what do we want? What do we need? Now that our institutions are falling, how would you like to see them structured?

These questions are very real. Governments all over the world are needing our help. Yes, our help. The simple fact is - they really don't know how to fix all that ails. Of course we may have some ideas, but we are only small people and these are larger than life problems. Or are we?

I have found an explosion of new ideas and energy over the last couple of months. People who no longer trust institutions are taking destiny into their own hands. This creativity is coming from despair, but it's building, believe me. And you, yes you, are part of it. You are part of it because you were drawn to read this. Because you've been thinking about it. Whatever special gift you were given, and we all have one, is part of the solution.

So it's time to take your place in the scheme of things. It's time for you to start designing your world as you want it to be. Keeping in mind that "like attracts like", I would challenge you to work from a higher self, one that takes the well-being of all into consideration. Write your own mission statement. Carry it in your mind as you start designing the world you would like to see. Starting in very simple ways is okay, but everyone, everywhere, can do something to affect change. And remember, thoughts are energy, the very building block of what you want to see happen. Speaking of energy, I woke up to a little update blog entry from one of my favorite authors this morning in my e-mail. Are we on the same page or what?

Share your ideas, they may spark one in us. Blogging is a unique opportunity because it shares information instead of competing for it. How great is that?

Blogging and Energy

Lately I have been turning off the news. I've been a news junkie. Over the last many months, since before the election, and subsequent dismantling of our economy, I was glued. And listening to all the angry voices out there, angry for good reason, I might add, I realized I couldn't overcome the the number one Spiritual Law of the Universe. "Like attracts like". Whatever you focus on returns to you. My anger was returning to me, and it wasn't pretty. The news media feeds on that anger because it sells. The only way to break the cycle was to turn off the news programs and quit visiting my many aggregate news sites, newspapers on-line, and magazines. Time to let Obama do what he is going to do, trusting that he has our back. I was like a junkie. I needed to get it under control before I needed anti-depressants, or therapy.

Like most addictions, you need a replacement. In my case it became blogging. I started out by hanging around my daughters blog. But she is in a completely different stage in life, and I kind of felt a little out of place. I will always be interested in children and families, but this blogging forum was more about new mommies who wanted to connect with other new mommies. No, what I needed was something different. So I started going to Blog of Note, and found a couple of sites there. But my biggest breakthrough was following some of the comments on those sites. The beautiful thing about blogging is that it is inclusive. You don't have to be young, old, athletic, beautiful, handsome, smart, rich or poor to be included. You just have to leave a comment. Certain rules do apply, however. Mean comments will be deleted and so will you. The blog will either become private, or all the comments will be approved before they appear on the blog. A nice little built-in hate stopper. But thoughtful comments are appreciated by everyone.

Which brings me to energy.

I have been noticing a certain energy pattern in blogging. We are drawn to the sites that have something we need. It may be a quality that we have not yet developed, an interest we want to pursue, a need to be cheered, information, a friendly "voice" in the night. But we find them, and they find us. We are never alone, if we don't want to be. And everyone has something to offer. And I think that is the real beauty of it. You may not think what you have to say is of any interest to anyone, but rest assured someone is interested. What you have to offer is valuable. So all you new bloggers out there, keep exploring the blog world, and remember "like attracts like".
