I guess there all kinds of swarms. Swarms of bees, swarms of ants, swarms of anchovies at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, swarms of
earthquakes. It appears the ground under my house has been busy. From Friday of last week until Monday there were 27 earthquakes. Luckily they were small and were eight miles deep. Still.
Twenty-seven? Time to get busy on that
emergency preparedness I started last month...

27!!!
Ack! That's a lot of earth moving under your feet. Love the pic.
Oh yes!
Almost as good as sitting on a washing machine.
Might want to take a few pictures down from the walls for awhile
Wow ... that's a lot. I just watched The Road and thought I better get a ER supply put together just in case.
Could be a good thing - lots of little ones may take the strain off so that it can't build up to a big one.
Pam - Yes! Geeze..
Hilary - I know. And I have felt nothing.
lakeviewer - I am going to get on it.
A Year - Good idea.
JC - The Road? Will it scare me?
Yikes! I've never experienced an earthquake though my parents were in a pretty big one in Mexico city once.
nancy, i live on top of a shallow fault and have experienced swarms before but NEVER 27!! that's a little freaky and especially where you live, i was not especially clued into that being an earthquake-y area....well, my thoughts are with you and sending you positive thoughts...now going to comment on your more recent post..a bit 'out of order' today.
blessings that no more happen, as in shakes.
How'd I miss this? Swarms. What a perfect word.
wow 27 earth quakes...that is crazy
Ellen - I've been in many, but never a really bad one - knock on wood!
linda - Yes, we are very seismically challenged here in northern Nevada. We are very close to the Mount Rose Highway (the road to Tahoe out of Reno), which has a big fault line.
Trish - I've been busy - making up for not posting for 10 days. Or maybe I'm just feeling chatty.
Brian - I know!
