Happy Fourth of July!

To all of us celebrating this holiday, I wish you peace and happiness. And for all of those not celebrating this holiday, I wish you peace and happiness.

Here is my menu, to be a part of a group menu:

Good Cooks Fried Pickles with two dips.
Macaroni Salad - Made the way my family has made it for generations.
Green salad with raspberry dressing, red grapes and blue cheese.
Fume Chicken Salad
Ina's homemade Onion Dip - chips

I, for one, plan on swimming in my brother's pool and drinking my new favorite wine - NEW AGE - which is just a very light fizzy white wine that you serve with squeezes of lime.

Wishing you love and laughter this bright summer day!

Sounds like a fab u lous menu. I'll check out that wine ...

We are hoping for a bit of sunshine. If so, a canoe ride on the bay might be in order ...

Fireworks galore for this evening .. reservations sells them just a mile away .. so my boys have evening plans.

Enjoy !!!

Happy 4th to you too Nancy!

I tend to forget that holiday over here... we could have gone to a celebration for it today, but instead chose to stay home and enjoy a thrilling tennis championship game and admire Nadal winning his second WImbledon title! Between that and Spain's football victory last night... I feel like a sports geek! lol!

No fireworks tonight... but I had plenty of those last week so I'm good for a while. ;o)

A friend of mine has just started dipping her toes in the world of blogging, and she wrote a post on synchronicity the other day which made me thin ok you! This was the only place I'd read that word... and there she is using it and illustrating it as well! I think you'll find the tale interesting:

Enjoy your swimming, and put plenty of lotion on! I've been skimping a bit these days and I've gone from milk to tomato... oops! :p

That's a heck of a menu. I had a similar weekend to that picture except I was in a hammock and it was awesome. God I lovev hammocks. And i had some of the best steak I have ever had in my life. Meat hangover.
