How do these little bugs enter your body? I mean, where are they lurking? On the plants I was handling, or on the sandwich from the deli across the street from the nursery? And what, exactly, is it doing inside our bodies to make us feel so bad?
24 hours later and I'm finally starting to feel like I'll survive, but I wish there was some kind warning light we could carry around with us to illuminate those nasty little germs. Some kind of horn that could go off - or maybe an I-Phone app. Now that would be an app worth paying for!

ha there probably is an app for that...lol. sorry you were not feling well but glad you got over it pretty quick. have been lucky myself of late...
Hmm. You needed time out for yourself and the bug gave you that excuse? Louise Hay usually pegs it. Feel better!!
Sorry this is happening to you. I hope some rest will help.
Aww poor you. I'm glad your recovery was swift.
A bug alert app! Great idea. Sorry you had to endure that. Hope you are feeling better now.
Hubby keeps trying to get me to watch Monsters Inside Me which runs on TLC and it gives me the creeps. I don't even want to think about the thousands of bugs that keep our bodies working and the ones that want to stop it from working properly. After getting over Lyme recently, now I worry about Dengue Fever, and West Nile Virus since I am such a bug magnet. I hope you feel better. We can't live in a bubble. As they say, "Life is a bitch, then it has puppies."
ug.. feel better soon. How long after eating did this "bug" get you? Sounds like food poisoning to me.
I guess that they are everywhere, I feel it is best we don't know what is where most of the time, especially if they all look like the photo you used......
Hope it's not the bug that's bitten me. Day 16 and still sounding like Kathleen Turner, coughing, and not much energy. I think it's viral since the antibiotics aren't doing diddly!
Hope you feel better soon!
A good reason to avoid humanity. Just kidding. sort of. I'm glad it appears to be a short lived bug and you feel well soon.
Poor MOM! I know how you feel! At least you don't have a two-year-old (anymore)!
ARGH! I hate being sick. Hope you're feeling better. Ever heard of a Neti Pot? I've been using it and recovered from a cold/sinus infection in two days!!! I know it's not the same as the flu, but anything helps, right?
second time here,i love ur blog
come to the islands... the salt water while you snorkel helps to keep your nostrils clear.
and the rum fights the bugs too
I can only empathize. At the age of 42 I caught chicken pox from nobody knew where and spent the following month not far from death's door.
Happy you're feeling better Nancy - last month we arrived in Portland to find youngest daughter in "flu" mode and the following day was the giant surprise birthday party for her husband! We scrambled and she made a miraculous recovery - wow, you never know do you?
You know it isn't the virus that causes illness; it's something about the susceptibility of the host, in this case: you. If it was up to the virus, then every one of us would suffer from every virus. It's an immune system thing, also probably a biorhythm, timing thing.
Sorry you're feeling lower than a snake's belly. Hope you're soon on the mend!
So sorry you were feeling poorly--and so glad that you are better!!
ha ha re the iPhone app, but I think it will have to wait for the next version. Mr. Jobs is feeling rather poorly himself, right now ;)
LOLOL Nancy!! love it! We need a dolphin alert app. also!! =0D
