World Oceans Day

My friend, Chris, at Here, There and Everywhere, is an oceanographer and marine biologist. She has come up with a wonderful way for all of us to show our appreciation and concern for our oceans by having a blog-a-thon for World Oceans Day on June 8th. All you have to do, if you would like to participate, is to link to her blog, letting her know you have posted a blog on June 8th, something about the oceans. I think I already know what I want to write about...

Awesome! Grand #1 is aspiring to be a marine biologist! She's also the newbie blogger. We'll probably both take part. Thanks for letting us in on it!

GREAT idea! We are indeed connected by oceans and what better way to connect than to ride the wave of cyberspace across land and sea! Thanks for your visit and post at APOGEE Poet.

What a great way to shine the spotlight on our oceans. I'm sure she'll get participation, and hits, from all over the world!

PS. "Leo Buscaglia" - a great influence in my training as an educational therapist - your thought of the day is filled with smiles! And YES, children are gifts that redefine meaning we have lost somewhere along the way - Leo taught us how to recapture, and be that young spirit filled with wisdom true!! More smiles...

Great idea!

I'm in. I know exactly what I'll be blogging about. The ocean is extremely rich in minerals, wildlife, and things scientists are only now discovering. It's the next frontier.

Thanks for the post, Lover of Life.

I'm intrigued - I've been landlocked so much of my life I forget the ocean exists - but it's been a powerful force for me and I've been heartsick at reports that pollution is rampant. Thanks for posting the link!

Oh, thanks for the heads up. TBHITW and i are both certified scuba divers - so aware of the fragility and sanctity of our oceans. I will definitely blog for the cause!

Happy Ocean Day! I'm late but I still celebrate it.

Made me sad to hear that all the trash they found in the sea near Brazil wasn't from the fallen airplane.

What a wonderful idea! It is amazing how the oceans seem to hold everything together and are a source of life and rejuvenation. Will go over and check it out!
