IMy first memory of going to the drive in with my folks was to see "The Wizard of Oz". It has always been a favorite and I usually watch it at least once each year. In the early 1970's, when the MGM studios were being torn down and the prop depts were auctioning off items, I wanted those ruby slippers in the worst way. There was, as I recall, more than one pair. My memory tells me that one of the pair went for $14,000.00, a tidy sum in those days. Wonder what they'd be worth now?

I, too, love this old favorite.
