Hooked

I am currently hooked on the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. Has anyone else read this trilogy? My older daughter read them all at once over just a few days.

Soon to be a major motion picture to be released in March, I think.

See you in a few...

I'm currently on book 3 of the 'A Song Of Ice Abd Fire' series. The first, Game Of Thrones was a series on HBO.

I'm on the 2nd book of the series. My oldest daughter has read all three. She has a mockingjay pin :-) Can't wait for the movie!

I haven't read them yet, but everything I've been reading about the upcoming movie has peaked my interest! How are the books?

I'm currently reading "Death Comes to Pemberly" by PD James which my sister gave me for Christmas, and am having a blast with the idea of Lizzie Darcy (née Bennett) mixed up in a murder investigation! :p

Got the 1st book on my nightstand right now. Joe just blew through it, said it was terrific. Also just finished the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy - another very well-written series. The Swedish versions of the movies were good, too. EFH

i am on the second book. and like you, i picked them up because my daughter read all three over the course of three days. i'm hooked too. she can hardly wait for the movie. the book really does have fabulous movie potential. i can see it playing in my mind as i read and thrill to how they might portray the characters and the scenes. i think it wont really be able to live up to all the heightened expactations!

Ellen - I've heard about that series - I'll have to check it out, thanks!

Nancy - LOL - a mockingjay pin? Love it!

harmony - It really was a quick read, and should be a good movie. It is probably meant for teens...

Chris - OOh - will need to put that on my list, thanks!

Expat - I'm starting The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo next! For some reason fiction is calling me. Time to be entertained. You'll enjoy Hunger Games.

Angela - Yeah, you have to wonder. I usually always enjoy books more than movies. More character development.

All the kids in middle school are reading them. I suppose I will need to succumb as well.
