Earth's Axis

I had a very vivid dream last night about something happening to the earth's axis. I mentioned it in a comment on Synchronicity and they said it was the third mention of disaster in the last 24 hours, and decided to do a post on it. Has anyone else had odd feelings or dreams?

I went to read Synchronicity's post and I hope you're all wrong..esp the earth off its axis thing.

you know, the big chilean earthquake did alter the earth's axis so with the smaller ones continuing, then, ....???

truly more than intriguing that several of us have all experienced similar things the past few days - and then the thing of me and rob and trish's friend's having almost the same identical dream of the raging water and floating bodies -

let's all focus on a calm planet!!!

My dreams lately have been very vivid and I'm able to remember more than usual, and for longer than usual. My dream last night was about an event I'm attending all day tomorrow, but it was not a dream of foreboding, just what is probably an alternate reality.

Although I am a vivid dreamer, I have not had any strange ones lately....hubby did say something to me about a strange dream he had the other night though. He usually doesn't remember his dreams. I will have to ask him to elaborate..

I've dreamed twice in the past several weeks that someone I care for has died. I crumple in tears and sobbing, wake up with wet eyes. It is not a specific person in my life though, the identity unknown.

the magnetic field of the earth is getting weaker. I read that somewhere or saw a program on it. It's shifting actually to the other pole. And the planetary axis has shifted several times in the geologic past.

I heard the axis tilt occurred already after the Chilean earthquake. BTW we are due for a big one on the Pacific fault line.

No,no, Nancy. Go out to dinner. Have a glass of wine. Watch When Harry Met Sally. Sleep well.

I really do believe that people and animals can sense things, but I hope you aren't!!

I keep dreaming about the death. Last night was the third dream.

No.

All is well. But didn't the large earthquake in Chile make a small shift of some kind?

You may be dreaming or feeling the chaos and conflict in Washington DC. LOL

Well I took Midlife's advice and went out to dinner and had a glass of wine... It does seem to make things right with the world - LOL!

Linda - Yes, it did. We now have a shorter day by some tiny part of a second.

Nancy said...

Lluvia - Wow, the third night in a row?

Ellen - Yipes.

Gypsy - Yes, let's do

California - Me, too. It was so odd, because I rarely remember my dreams.

DJan - Sometimes I work out tension through my dreams. This "earth axis" thing was weird because I woke up with that really heavy drowsy feeling and the words "earth axis" in my mind. Not words I usually think about.

luksky - I'm like your husband. Rarely remember my dreams.

lakeviewer - I know, and it's something I do worry about!

Pam - Me too!

Apparently, according to NASA, the earth's axis did shift after the earthquake in Chile, and shortened the day by 1.26 microseconds.

Quote: "The axis about which the Earth’s mass is balanced should have moved by 2.7 milliarcseconds (about 8 centimeters or 3 inches)."

8 centimeters? I can totally live with that. Our planet is always changing anyway; it always has been, only now we've got people for measuring it. Besides, it's going to take one hell of an earthquake to get the earth off its axis.

And no, I don't have similar dreams, though I do have weird ones, like a couple of days ago, when I dreamt about Gordon Ramsay. Very peculiar but not particularly unpleasant. :)

Nancy, my dreams are ALWAYS weird, so that's no indication. I'm glad you followed Julie's advice.

I think I'll have a glass of wine too!

Enough glasses of wine and you don't remember your dreams... ;)

Nancy,
As you know from Trish & Rob's SYNCHRONICITY blog, I have weird experiences & dreams re: disasters. Yesterday I posted story on my blog that took me 3 weeks to compose. It's about dreams, axis shifts, and an ancient Goddess.
