Christmas Fun

Good Cook challenged us to all have a little fun. She joined in the fun via Mandy's blog and so it goes... So if you would like to play along, please do. Here are the instructions:

If you're reading this post, then you must:

(a) leave a comment and answer the below 25 questions that Mandy made up,

(b) write the answers to the questions below in your own blog post, if you have a blog, that is.

or (c) call yourself a scrooge in the comment below and refuse to answer them.

I hope you choose (A) or (B) but if you choose (C) then I'll just let the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future deal with you. If you do decide to write your own blog post about it, please mention Mandy since she is the author of these important questions. (Writers credit and all that jazz - thanks!)

1. The Snowman, I can watch it over and over again!

2. White Christmas (or the movie that Bing sings it in.. is it called White Christmas?) Shrug. It's a bit too cheesy for me.

3. I love ALL Christmas Carol's! (Hey, my name is Carol, and I was BORN on Christmas Day, what else can you expect me to say?)

4. "When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney" - my kids made me sing it endlessly to them when they were young, I even went to sleep still humming it.

5. Mulled wine (hic).

6. Far too intimate to share (evil giggle)!

7. My father's apology.

8. A red, plastic doll's tea-set when I was five. I fed it in the washing machine in protest, but it still survived.

9. Everything. Morning service, our family walk on the beach, the present opening, us all gathered together around the table, and most of all, a game of Charades afterwards.

10. My children spending so much time either on facebook or their phones!

11. The same angel that has graced our tree for over 20yrs.

12. There isn't one, we love to experiment every year. Any great recipe doesn't require a special occassion to be used, anyway, we are committed "foodies" forever (blush).

13. I'm no Grinch, but what's a Who??

14. Are you kidding? You can see our house from the moon in December.

15. Fun, fun, fun!! Such a shame my teenagers refuse to go there now..

16. Are there really people who don't send Christmas cards out there?

17. My birthday!!!! (Oops, that wasn't the right answer, was it?)

18. My birthday!!! (So old, old, old..)

19. It would go up in November if my son had his way. We take it down on Epiphany (6th Jan).

20. Oh, give me the five gold rings anyday, it'll come in handy to pawn whaen the kids are set to go to University..

21. She did? OMG. I always wondered why I never knew her (I'm upset now).. why wasn't I told this before?

22. Yeah, well Prancer could've been something if he hadn't have been up-staged by that Rudolph there, the big girls blouse, whining and moaning that everyone was picking on him, and so on. That's only his side of the story, no one seemed bothered to ask any of the other deer what their side of the events were, did they? Truth was, He was nothing but an exhibitionist from day one..

Oh Nancy!I'll have to be the Scrooge! I adore Christmas, all the carols and songs, all the movies, all the giving and goodwill.I never had a 'bad present'and it's all positive for me, except the lights.Pretty and lovely for kids but I just couldn't justify all that power use these days; no wonder Copenhagen is all going to end up with us being convinced by our Governments we need Nuclear Power Stations all over the world!
Sorry to be a squelch, not atually I'm not sorry, I think there's other great ways to celebrate and everyone should wake up and get real.Cool Yule to you all!

greeting, dear nancy - just a quick note to say hello and to let you know, as my little campfires in blogland bear witness, the past week or so has found me distracted and sidetracked with the ups and downs of familial and other issues which have taken me from my usual time and energies on my own blogs and those of dear friends such as you - also i'm working on a couple of large art pieces with imminent deadlines - so please forgive my seemingly "irreverent" attention here and know that my lack of postings and comments in no way reflects anything except that which it is - peripheral things to which i must attend for a couple of weeks - but i'll be back and forth as i can so please check over at my places at your leisure, as i, of course, will yours! and, as always, i'll be thinking of you and yours with much affection - jenean
