JC - I said a special prayer for the baby elephant to have a long and happy life. Love and light to that little baby elephant!

Hi, the video wouldn't buffer but I could see the still of the beautiful baby on the sand. sooo cute. the audio worked so I listened. Elephants charm me and i understand they're incredibly smart & devoted. I always hate to hear about the "rogue" situations which are probably caused by mistreatment.

This brought a smile to my face this morning! Thanks for that!

California - I agree with the "rogue" situations. They are such magnificent animals and are having such a hard time. We "adopted" two elephants for the year through Elephant Nature Foundation in Thailand. They are very dear to my heart.

Pat - You usually bring a smile to mine - happy to oblige!

I am wondering where its mother is.... poor baby. Poor us as we continue to exploit the beauty that is nature and is our children's inheritance.

(sorry - I am feeling morose today)

Trish - I know!

Brian - Is there anything cuter than a baby elle?

DJan - We can all send him lots of love...

Good Cook - His mahout seemed tender with him... hope you feel better soon.

Oh what a darling creature. That wave good-bye was just too cute for words. What a happy looking little(?) guy. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Nancy said...

Hilary - I just LOVED that little wave.

I have to admit, I was worried for a while there; that he wasn't able to get up, that he had sand in his eye...But his "wave" at the end is priceless. May he have a long and happy life.

Nancy said...

ds - Indeed! I am still a little worried about that sand in his eye.

oh, how absolutely precious! i've such an affinity for elephants - just love them! they are such gentle spirits! i know, like good cook, was wondering where his mommy was - actually, my grandson is here and i showed him the video and we both said at the same time "oh, where's his mommy!!" - in any event, yes, his caretaker did seem gentle which i was happy for - and i, too, wish him peace love and happiness and a long wonderful life!! hugs baby elle!!!
