Study Time

Do you ever go through times in your life when you just can't seem to absorb enough information on a subject that interests you? No matter how much you take in - it never seems to be enough? Well, that's how I'm feeling right now. Studying, as if I were still in college and had exams coming up. Studying as if what I'm reading and learning about is of value, I just don't know why, or when. I guess sometimes we just have to go with our intuition and see where it takes us.

If I come up with anything worthy of sharing, I certainly will do so. But I may be sketchy when it comes to blogging for a while. Instead, I'll just drop in on you.

I have found this happening to me, as well. You just have to follow the lead, don't you? Here's to your own sense of discovery; and I, for one, am looking forward to reading about what you turn over. Thanks also for the great inspiration that I always find here. EFH

Yes! That is exactly how I feel! And it has only increased over the course of the past year. I feel like I've finally found something worth studying. It is definitely pulling me like a giant magnet.

I hear you. And I also look forward to what you are learning, because it will come here to your blog, sooner or later. Are you feeling a little like a sponge these days? :-)

Expat - You, too? Thanks for the kind words, btw. I feel the same way about your blog - always something to think about and learn.

m heart - Myself, as well. You can't believe the shelf I've filled just with the books I've read, not counting the websites, interviews I've watched, etc. It feels just like a magnet - thanks for the definition.

DJan - I feel exactly like a sponge - but I keep thinking I'm going to hit the saturation point, but I never seem to get there. I will surely share if it comes to some ah ha point.

Me too! I think the internet has given me this thirst for knowledge and I'm getting more pleasure out of study that I'm thinking of giving blogging away! I've always loved history but haven't gone right into subjects since high school. I'm currently awaiting a shipment of books from the US and will be swatting up on Medieval history for a start.

I've been in a big reading phase lately, but it doesn't feel like "studying" as much as a fictional refuge. Perhaps my fictional refuge will provide certain truths/insights as and when needed, though; just as your studies will do, no doubt.

You always have something of great interest to share, so I don't mind losing your blog posts for a little while because I know you'll bring the best of what you learn to it soon. Enjoy, Nancy.

That's a great zone to be in, just purely soaking in knowledge that you love. Enjoy :)

alaine - Don't stop blogging - just take a study break :-)

Bee - Knowledge comes from fiction, as well as non-fiction. You never know where a nugget of insight will come from!

Hilary - Thank you! You are always so positive - it's always a pleasure to visit your blog.

Brian - It feels very heady!

Trish & Rob - Hmmm - maybe -

Leah - Good description - mind hunger.

Joanne - I tend to go on tangents - but this one feels a little different - like it could actually go somewhere other than my head. :-)

If I do any more, my brain is going to start bulging out the side of my head.

I'll have to tip my head to the side and let some excess words fall out my ear.

Ellen - I think it may happen to everyone at one time or another.

Coudia - Yes, it really is an intuitive adventure.

Rob-bear - I know the feeling, lol!
