My mother-in-law insists that when you move you leave a broom in one room and close the door. An old superstition about leaving all your old dirt and troubles behind...

Wishing you lots of help and perfect weather.

Leave a broom and close the door...hum, I'll have to remember that for my next time!
Hope it goes well. They say if it rains the day you move happiness is sure to follow in your new location!

New Beginnings are good, but I don't envy you all that work. Our friends tell us we should move every five years. We haven't moved in 25 years. We laugh about the three dumpsters we will need to unearth the clutter. I should start downsizing now. Hubby's godmother just moved after 65 years in the same house! Imagine that chore.

Oh my goodness, moving! I hope you are very happy in your new home, Nancy. I think we can all agree that whereas the process of moving is a giant pain in the backside, the end result is often good.

That and label all kitchen and bathroom boxes very clearly as to content, because you are really going to want those the very first thing :-)

See you soon, and get plenty of rest whenever you can. Moving takes it out of you. Settling in puts it back.
