Masaru Emoto is a Japanese researcher and author who has done studies on the power of thought on water. The MacGregor's did a post on him
here, and posted this prayer
here. It was written for the Gulf catastrophe. Please feel free to take it, use it, and pass it on.
To whales, dolphins, pelicans, fishes, shellfishes, planktons, corals, algae and all creatures in Gulf of Mexico
I am sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

Oh this made me cry..the profound truth in that simple prayer.
so many things we could be sorry for, great start right here
oh Nancy that is beautiful! I go thru each day posting messages on the white house boards... this whole thing is just mind bending!!
There was a section on Emoto's work in the movie What the Bleep Do We Know?
However, the science behind Emoto's work has been challenged by scientists, as have a number of the other items in the movie. Emoto's is a nice idea, and I was quite fascinated by it when I saw the movie. I know of no other people who have successfully replicated Emoto's work, which would be a key element into establishing the scientific validity of that work.
That being said, I believe the prayer is truly beautiful, and worthy of being shared and used broadly in America, and elsewhere.
Bless his heart.
May the this prayer reach the centre of the Universe and may the love from all of who say these words be felt by those who have lost their precious lives......
I just can't watch the news. Every time BP is on, any of their representatives, I just end up shouting at the TV. They are so phony. If they really cared production wouldn't have been put over safety in the first place.
I am now turning away from listening to the news about BP's Gulf Disaster. It has no end... and the poem is balm to my spirit, it says what my heart says.
We do have SO much to apologize for.
Perfect.....smiles.
Thank you. I will use it.
Wow. Putting it out there today.
This is beautiful and important. Our prayers can't fix this terrible disaster, but it can't hurt to send healing energy in that direction.
I love this prayer. At first hearing of the oil spill I was angry at BP, the government...but realized later that my own dependency on oil is just as much to blame. I think this prayer brings this into focus. Thanks for putting it up.
Simple and straight from the heart. Amen.
good morning nancy! isn't this a magnificent little prayer - and i've posted it as well - you know, if each of us offers it, the wonder of it all will happen -
hope your move is coming along - and wish i were there to help - well, to direct house traffic, at least!!! ;)
Beautiful prayer! But we should add, people of the gulf, as well!
If only 'sorry' were enough...
Prayer may be all we have now, but I have to say when I see the evil and the greed that led to this catastrophe I have to wonder if God shouldn't have ended his week on Friday and taken the whole weekend off. I'm not at all sure human beings were his greatest creation. If reports that the oil is now actually seeping from the ocean floor are correct, we may have permanently destroyed the Gulf of Mexico. :(
Simple and lovely but I suspect that some simply aren't sorry... at least not for the creatures.
I've been doing something similar for many weeks now. It's heartbreaking.
I remember seeing something about the effect of thought on water. I believe that thought is energy and that when it is spoken (or, I presume, written) it is more powerful. It is a beautiful prayer and bears repeating.
What an interesting concept--the effect of thought on water. Beautiful prayer. I hope it helps.
Nancy,
I read a wonderful editorial in the Sunday New York Times in which the writer wrote a letter to the President Obama. The writer assumed responsibility for the Gulf disaster. In it he apologized for his insatiable oil thirst - in his SUV, his many and mindless road trips, his excessive air conditioning and heating, his unsustainable practices, etc, etc. He also blamed every citizen in the US for the same practices. And you know what? He was right.
And that prayer is right too.
I am sorry.
Forgive me.
I spent the day at the beach with my grandlittles yesterday - we were lucky enough (and blessed) to see a whale, he breached several times about 300 feet from shore. I pray he is not one of the last I see in my lifetime.
hope that prayers help.
