The Men Who Stare At Goats

We went to see this movie yesterday. It had George Clooney, Kevin Spacey, Ewan MacGregor, and Jeff Bridges. All actors that I enjoy. I think what made watching the movie fun was first reading a special post that Linda Pendleton did a while ago. Go here to read about psychic spies - which is what this movie was based on. It was a special unit known as Stargate. She included a video of an interview with Joseph McMoneagle, who was known as Remote Viewer #1.

This movie was worth watching. It was funny and worth the price of admission.

I've been so looking forward to this movie since I saw the first trailers. Even though I've read a few negative reviews, I'm sure with those actors it can't help but be a blast! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed so that it comes out over here before I leave Belgium so I can see it in English... Ewan McGregor and George Clooney dubbed in Spanish... not as much fun! :p

Thanks for the review Nancy. I, too, love all those actors - and together they must have quite a synergy.

I read a book about remote spies ages ago and thoroughly enjoyed it; lots of websites about it too.

Am looking forward to this for the subject matter and the fabulous actors. Thanks for the review!

It must be funny indeed. The title is very suggestive. I'll check it out.

I'll wait for this one to come to me on Netflix. Very few movies are so important to see in the theater, with all the trailers, ads, noise, and cost. "Precious" might be one, and I did go see "Julie & Julia" in the theater. This one looks funny!

I was curious what this was about having seen all those commercials for it.

Funny that you should post about this movie. I was thinking about going to see it since another blog friend had a post entitled "Goats Who Stare at Men"! Thanks for the review!

Nancy, thanks for the information on the movie, as with that title I probably would not have watched it. LOL

Also, thanks for the mention of my blog and my Remote Viewing article on my blog.

I'll likely wait for this movie to come out on DVD because we tend to wait for most movies. What a great cast, they could likely render reading the phone book together utterly fascinating, but it sounds like the actual premise of the movie is just loads of fun!

What a nice thing to read about, enjoyable actors, doing funny things together, and adding some amusement into the world. Great endeavor, I'm so glad the final result works well! Thank you for the review.

I've found so few movies lately that are worth the price of admission. I'll have to keep my eye open for this one.

I think most people nowadays are so tied up in electronic media it's become even more difficult for them to perceive their innate abilities.

Great actors with a weird plot. Maybe if they stared at acorns they could grow instant oak trees. Do ya think?

There's all kinds of crazy stuff going on at the Pentagon. We hear rumors all the time here in DC.

Happy Thanksgiving Nancy!! I am very thankful to have you as blog friend and real life friend! Bravo!!
