Personal Power

I was just thinking about personal power and how we often give our personal power away. We allow others to think for us because it's often easier than doing all of the work ourselves. Unfortunately, in the process, we give others our personal power - something we should never do.

I love the idea of taking in big gulps of information and then taking the time to decide which sips I actually swallow. There is so much information out there that we are constantly bombarded with conflicting data. What is truth for one is not necessarily truth for another.

What works for me may not work for you. What works for you may not work for me, but that does not negate your processes. Discernment is key. And to always remember we are all the same, one not better than another, and that each of us have our own path to follow and our own lessons to learn.

I'm not keen on letting people think for me. But there are lots of times I would miss important insights if others didn't share those with me.

i think you have a solid process....we should make informed decisions and not just accept our beliefs from others....

oh I totally agree and I wish certain segments of the population would stop trying to legislate their truth.
