This is so strange!

Have you seen this monument? It is so strange! It is located in northeastern Georgia and appears to be a post-apocalyptic set of instructions. No one knows who commissioned the object, or why, but it also flawlessly tracks the sun. You can read about it here.

It looks a little like Stonehenge.

I just read the entire article, too. It is fascinating, and I never heard of it. To think that 500 million people is the ideal number of people on the planet, I think it would be a wonderful place for us all to live if that were true. Thanks for this, Nancy! I loved it!

Even a Bear knows this is peculiar.
I've read the article to which you referred us, Nancy. Which only adds to the mystery. I had never heard of this before.
Obviously "Christian" knew what he was doing. The thing does what it appears to have been designed to do, in terms of sun and moon.
The instructions are general and applied to a range of activity.
All so very strange.

Unbelievable...wow. Cool that someone was already thinking about this in 1979. Very interesting. Thanks.

Very interesting, Nancy. Read the article and was impressed, among other reasons, by Mr. Martin's commitment to R.C. Christian's demand for secrecy.
Let's hope nobody does something really pointless like destroying them - along the lines of the giant Buddhas in Afghanistan. They are at the very least a curiosity and the evidence of one (?) man's extraordinary vision.
