The King's Speech

On a lighter note, have you had a chance to see The King's Speech? Already nominated for a load of Oscars, I can certainly understand why. I won't give the story away, but I will say we were totally enthralled for the two hour movie. After leaving the theater complex my husband said he couldn't believe how fast it went. The period set is as wonderful as the story, and the actors deserve the Oscars they will surely win.

And he wanted to see Green Hornet!

I keep hearing nothing but good reviews about it. I'll have to make a point of seeing it soon.

Love Colin Firth and the subject matter interests me for sure. We do not have a decent theatre, by decent I mean one with a large screen & comfortable, preferably stadium, seating within 25 miles of here so Scott and I always wait for Netflix release. sigh.

I miss going to the movies.

I haven't yet. I run by an Indie Theatre where they are showing it. Thank you for the reminder that it is worthy.

Nancy, wasn't it absolutely wonderful??? I love how Beethoven's 7th symphony was played while King George VI was giving his famous wartime speech, and he was transforming from a shy, hesitant man, to a great king. What a fabulous movie!

I must be the last person on earth to see it. I was told only today by a group of friends that I must not miss it.

I have already seen it twice, saw it with a friend and liked it so much I took my husband the next week! It actually inspired me to give reading Shakespeare another try....
