The Evil Empire

It is time for America to wake up to what this corporation is doing in the world. They manufacture genetically-engineered food, plus they strip the seed's ability to reproduce in order to require farmers to buy only seed from Monsanto, raise the price of seed so that developing countries cannot eat the food they raise, because they must sell their crops to buy more seed. It is also the frog in the pot that is slowly being boiled. By the time we realize what the ramifications are for what they are doing, it may already be too late.

If you care about what you and your family are eating, you'll watch the videos produced by a leading physicist.  Found on the blog IET, I felt it important to pass along. (Go here to watch.) These genetically-engineerd products are now being linked to animal miscarriages.  Can you imagine what it must be doing to us - to our DNA, to our children?

All of life may very well be in the balance. The Middle East is fighting for freedom from corrupt governments, but America is under the thumb of corrupt corporations, determined to have everything in the end. Including our ability to save seeds and grow our own food.

Next time you are buying something for your yard, think about all of the other life forms being affected  - including the disappearing honeybee that is detrimental to our food supply. It is time for all of us to shop responsibly - before it's too late.

Avoiding their products is a start, such as the dangerous Roundup, aspartame (Nutri Sweet, Equal), and Ambien, the sleep aid. Unfortunately, the last one will be missed by this writer...

Okay, this is frightening. I am wondering if there is a complete list of their products. I'll be watching the video after I lay the kids down.

I cannot imagine what damage is truly being done. Thank you for the heads up.

Nancy, I just watched the film, Food Inc. Anyone who sees it will want to give a second thought to everything they consume. Monsanto has become way too powerful.

I can't agree more with everything you just wrote. This year, we will be planting our garden with Horizon Herbs, a great little company that sells heirloom seeds(meaning, not GMO like Mansanto. I just received my catalog and will be ordering medicinal herbs as well as TONS of veggie seeds this week.

We must RISE UP and RAGE AGAINST these corporations that are sucking us dry and feeding us poison.

Oh and you can go to www.horizonherbs.com to read about them/order a catalog.

What a revealing post! I use Equal every day! Is Splenda included in Monsanto's poisons? I am getting really worried about the corporations in our world today. In my post when I talk about the Wisconsin governor trying to break the unions, it is the corporations behind his election that are supporting him. And then the Supreme Court decision to let them contribute to campaigns of political leaders was a travesty I cannot understand.

We must wake up and realize what is going on. Thank you for this.

Bernie - I don't believe Splenda is a Monsanto product, but Truvia is supposed to be the best non-caloric sweetner. It comes from the Stivia plant. It tastes pretty good. As for the Supreme Court ruling - is there any doubt what team the conservative judges are pitching for? Seriously. Now corporations can give as much money as they want to buy our politicians, such as Scott in Wisconsin, who showed his true colors when he thought he was speaking to one of the Koch brothers earlier this week. The game is rigged.

Whitney - Buy all organic products, for your babies. Especially milk and meat products.

Bruce - Thanks for the heads up. It is so sad to really know how much we've been hoodwinked.

Jen - We need to order a bunch of those seeds.

I have been staying away from GMO as much as possible for years now. I saw "Food Inc" and read an expose by Barbara Kingsolver years ago that started me on a path of eating as much organic and possible and as little corn and corn-based products because GMO spreads into other farms. Monsanto is evil.

I've been hearing bits and pieces of this for a while now. It's very frightening, indeed.

I listened to the videos with two ears. I absorbed the message but couldn't help but be amused by the closed captions translation error.

I am so sick of corporations controlling everything. We let them of course when we do not lobby or write or email or harass our congressperson or senator. I'm beginning to think we the people are substituting agressive activity for passivity.

Welcome back. I thought it odd you dropped this blog. Then again, I thought it rather ballsy!

I read the book "the World According to Monsanto" just recently,,what an eye-opener it was! It seems there is nothing sacred anymore. Once they truly screw up one area they move on to another and then another...when does it end?
