White Orbs

What the heck are they?

I've been fascinated by stories of "white orbs" lately. They seem to be popping up everywhere, including over a California mall over Christmas, where the person taking a picture of a double rainbow said they floated by in tandem, with one looking as though it held some kind of creature. They have been photographed around newly created crop circles, coming out of a Japanese volcano, and are the focus of many photographers. They appear to show up at night on digital cameras, which leaves me wondering if they may be floating around all of the time - we just can't see them.

Naturally I had to visit U-Tube, that bastion of all things weird, wonderful, and just plain dumb. I thought this film of the white orbs especially interesting:

So what do you think they are?

it seems that the bright orb is attached to a dark shadow which seems vaguely plane shaped but when they zoom in the shining orb expands and you can't see the shadow. hard to tell what they were. they did seem to be moving together staying spaced apart the same.

i have always heard that they represent the souls of those who have passed over but remain on the earthy plane for unknown reasons.....

will go now to see this video~

A synchro! Just finished rewriting a section orbs this afternoon. Spirits of the deceased? Alien entities?

ok - just looked at the video -- the kind of orb i was referring to are those that show up on photographs.

the short answer would be that this type of orb seems like some kind of ufo.....the long answer, some type of military craft.

Ellen - Very weird.

Brian - Seriously!

Amanda - Maybe the little ones that people see are departed souls.

Trish - Good synchro! They've been on my mind since I enlarged the one taken at the CA mall.

Amanda - Yeah, something that seems to be intelligent.

Not sure...but I've seen 2 of them with my own eyes and it's hard to figure what they are. Others I have photographed, and it seems to me that I always have a lot of them around me. I ask permission to take their pictures and then it seems I am sort of drawn to spaces where they can be photographed. I have a fondness for them and don't feel scared at all...maybe need to take better care when doing this. Very interesting and an excellent video. Glad you are home safe and sound.
Wishing you a very happy new year.

How fascinating! I have never seen anything like but maybe I'm just not paying attention. The only thing I seem to see in the sky is that white stuff called snow. I do think these are something though..gives me the goose bumps.

I did a bunch of research after orbs appeared in my photos...the general consensus is that they are created by tiny bits of dust in the air.
I tested this theory by taking a picture of a room where they were sanding the floor..........there were MILLIONS of orbs. Guess they were right.

Maggie - Thank you - wishing you a wonderful 2011 as well. I read somewhere else where the people "call" to the orbs and then wait ten minutes or so, then go back outside to take pictures - usually surrounded by them. They also did not seem to feel any fear. Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Lori - I've never seen them either.

Hilary - Were they round and see-through, I wonder?

These are very cool! I like to think that they may be something from another dimension or may UFOs. We had fun with white orbs from sanding on a construction site a couple of years ago. We were so convinced they were energy spheres but I think it was the camera with the sanding dust. These look different though. And the fact that they move is most intriguing.

I am glad they seem innocuous, since they are ubiquitous. (Just playing with words here, Nancy.) If you find out, please let us know! :-)

Joanna - I can see how dust might look like spheres. I think there are different kinds - dust, spots on cameras and then the ones here. There are also some thought to be deceased souls. Weird!

DJan - I think your word play is spot on!

I think I'll cast my vote for them being the harbingers of enlightened aliens who will arrive soon to help set the planet to rights since we can't seem to do it ourselves without help.

Of course, it might just be a giant blowing bubbles on the other side of a hill :-)

Fascinating photos. Would love to see some of them with my own eyes but they never appear. I do wonder what they are!

Hi Nancy,

I just saw this. I was writing about orbs that showed up in my photos at Pashpatinath and In the Chitwan jungle during a night dance quite a few months ago.

Someone told me that these are Merkaba. There is a lot written about them on the web.
