Frosty

Here is my cousin's dog, Frosty, who will be competing in the Westminster Dog Show in NYC this week!

My cousin, a colonel and Marine fighter pilot, and is now retired from Continental Airlines. Having trained as a Top Gun on more than one occasion, flying F-4's and F-18's, he's a competitor at heart. He will be in the ring with her! When not training, she and her five Siberian Husky family members take turns sleeping with my cousin and his wife. They are dearly loved, and are also working sled dogs.

We're hoping Frosty takes "Best In Show!"

  1. He is beautiful! My sister has a husky who she loves so much. He has beautiful blue eyes. He was big for a male, up to 100 pounds, but has lost weight and is now down to 58 pounds. Sadly, he has various things; cancer, etc., but my sister is trying her hardest so he can make it to his 13th birthday in May!

  2. Pat - Bless his heart - and your sisters! My cousin loves his dogs. This little girl is co-owned with the breeder but lives with my cousin and his wife. He has five other huskies that he trains to pull a sled. So they are active doing the things they were bred to do.

  7. Frosty is absolutely beautiful! My son is the proud new dad of an Alaskan Malamute, which I'm sure you know are similar to Huskies. I'm going to suggest to him that he look into this kind of activity with his pup.
Hope Frosty wins, but if he doesn't he'll have a wonderful time trying.

  19. How exciting! I bookmarked the link to hopefully follow it online, as we do not have the USA channel, darn. It would be so fascinating to see your cousin working her at the show...

Loved the video, too. Frosty is a winner in my book and I really hope the judges will award her a blue ribbon!

  28. Frosty is one gorgeous canine....I hope he makes it! Makes me miss our animals, for the first time here in retirement we are dogless, catless....it is easier to travel this way, but when I see something like Frosty I get nostalgic.
