We are so excited that my cousin and Frosty had the opportunity to compete in the Olympics of dog shows and I suspect we may hear more about Frosty in the future. Thanks for all of your well wishes and congratulations to the beautiful dog that won. Now we can see how she does in the Best In Show.

ReplyDeleteNancy, We just watched the 'best of show' part of Westminster. Frankly, I think just the fact that Frosty was there was 'winning ' - such a beautiful dog!

Well, in Frosty's honor I will now cheer for the Siberian Husky who won to get Best in Show. What a great event to be a part of!
ReplyDeleteIt's probably disappointing for the owner when the dog doesn't win. But Frosty probably loved doing all the things he was trained to do, be with his trainer, be with other dogs, have a job to do ...

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have a habit of goofing around, and going for the intentional irony. For instance, we've been to Vancouver, and it's gorgeous. We adored it, neither of us wanted to leave. But now every time we see British Columbia or Vancouver (not just in the Olympics, as I occasionally watch DVDs of shows filmed there) we'll say, "Oh poor, poor ugly, hideous Vancouver. So hard to look at! Poor, blighted Vancouver." because it was just that beautiful, and that lovely, we'd end up sounding like a Hallmark card if we went on about how beautiful it was, every time we saw it.
I explain this because my reaction to Frosty? "Oh, poor, poor, hideous doggy!" because he's just that gorgeous.
Before anyone skim reads that, misses the crucial point and decides I need my butt kicked: Irony. Irony alert!
