New Hobby

My husband has revisited his hobby of bread baking. The problem? A house smelling of fresh baking bread, and a crock of butter softening on the counter. It's going to be a long winter.

  1. Mmmm...looks wonderful.

I've found that when there's always good bread in the house I have a bit more willpower than when it's only occasionally there.

  10. I was once told when we were going to sell a house to put a loaf of bread in the oven...it gets the buyers salivating and the place smelling of home. I couldn't agree more and what better thing to do over the winter than bake bread? Have your husband do it!! Looks delicious!

  13. Tell him since he has figured out the art of bread making, that he can now move on to beer brewing. Sort of the same process, with much more lucrative results!

    Good to be here again.

  14. We're always trying to bake bread at our house. Both hubby and I are competent cooks and bakers--but neither can manage to pull off a nice loaf of bread. Mine? Door stops. His? Taste too yeasty.

We'll be coming over to your house! ;o)

Just recently found you, btw. Lovely posts!

  18. As it is mostly bread which I do share eating with my son in the morning, this was of interest to read, as I love only a few things more than bread.
A wonderful, bread and life filled weekend for you.
