This needs to be heard. This is an incredibly powerful piece.
Thank you, Maggie's Secret Garden!
And here is something to think about: The cost of a month in Afghanistan is roughly equivalent to 262,500 teachers; 1,995,000 children in daycare; annual health care for more than 5 million people --and this is just one month.

ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this Nancy. xo
yes, indeed, WHAT IF!!!
ReplyDeletegreat post, lady!
War is part of what our species does. What makes me sad is that now we have so many more weapons, big bombs and things. Bloody hell.
ReplyDeleteThis was powerful and compelling. Thanks to you and Maggie's Secret Garden for posting it. I am reminded of Chalmers Johnson's book, Nemesis (he died last year), where he writes that we are worse than Romans. Farther extended around the world as we seek to be the new Spartans. It is so sad, and embarrassing. Best to you....EFH
ReplyDeleteYes, this is powerful. I am so glad to see a peice like this. There are always two sides to every story and Americans need to hear the other side. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteVery powerful video! Reminds me of how our generation felt during the Vietnam war. Thanks for posting it!
ReplyDeleteWar is over, if you want it, war is over now.
ReplyDeleteJohn Lennon
If only..
SO FRUSTRATING.
ReplyDeleteThe majority of polls today reflect the American people's disinclination to be involved in any front. So why the fuck are we still in Iraq, Afghanistan & now Libya? It's the same old story, politics, the military, big business and old men making war.
nice...saw this the other day...war seems to be the only way we know how to solve problems...great message...
ReplyDeletea hundred million? I didn't realize that. What a powerful and totally depressing fact. With that, we could have universal health care four times over.
ReplyDeleteI posted the video too. It's one very powerful piece.
