  6. Multnomah Falls...I've been there. I hiked it after driving cross country to move my best friend to Portland. It was so beautiful I was moved to hug a tree. I can't wait to go back when I visit in July. Thanks for sharing - the pics are breath taking.

  13. One (of the many) things I love about your blog is that you put your feet down on landscapes that are very familiar to me. I lived in Portland in the late 70's for a couple of years and spent a lot of time in the Gorge.

Crown Point? Multnomah Falls? Oh yeah! I spent one very important Easter morning hiking way up there above Multnomah Falls. Thanks so much for these images. I can smell the air, feel the moisture.

    Wow!

  16. You have a good eye! The photos of the "misty mountains" are really nice. They remind me of "my" mountain here in Orford where I often hike during the foggy mornings. Mist over mountains by a lake...nothing like it! I'll have to say goodbye to that in the fall since I'm moving from the mountains to the ocean. Such is my journey!

  17. Hiya! Beautiful. It's nice to see open space like that. I just bought a movie called manufactured landscapes. It is the opposite of what you are showing here. I'll let you know if it is any good.

  18. Beautiful pictures! I miss green... green is such a refreshing colour! I know I shouldn't complain -having a lovely blue outside my window- but the rest of the region is so brown... Sigh! I guess the price to pay for wonderfully sunny weather most of the year is a predominance of brown...

Whereabouts in the Sates is this?

  22. Hi everyone - the Columbia River Gorge divides Oregon and Washington. Truly a beautiful place. The day was rainy and wet with low clouds. Misty. Unfortunately my camera is not a great one. I have my eye on my husband's....
